Why these assessments
- Recruitment fitWeak
- A general meeting recorder: no scorecards, no competency structure and no interview-specific workflow.
- Ease of useUnknown
- We have not used it, and we found no independent account of transcription quality on the languages our readers hire in.
- ImplementationStrong
- A bot joins Zoom, Meet or Teams and the free plan is a working product, so trying it costs a calendar invitation.
- Price transparencyStrong
- The free allowance, the seat prices and exactly which AI actions are metered are all published.
- Value for moneyStrong
- Unlimited recording and transcription in 30+ languages for nothing, with the meter on the AI rather than on your calendar.
- ScalabilityFair
- Priced per seat with team governance on the Business plan, but retention on the free plan and the storage location are not published.

The SourcrLab bottom line
The free plan is unusually generous where it matters for a small desk: unlimited video recordings and unlimited transcription in more than 30 languages, at no cost. What is metered is the AI, at ten meetings with AI notes and ten Ask AI queries, so the upgrade to EUR 18 buys AI rather than capacity. Beyond that it is a meeting tool, not a hiring tool, and it should be judged as one.
Best fit
Phone screens and intake calls where you want an accurate record and a searchable transcript, in a stack where the hiring judgement lives somewhere else.
Think twice if
Structured interview programmes. This is a general meeting recorder: there are no scorecards, no competency structure and no interview-specific workflow, and a bot joins the call visibly.

Why choose tl;dv?
Unlimited recording and transcription for nothing
The free plan carries unlimited video recordings and unlimited transcription in more than 30 languages, plus the mobile apps and calendar integration. For a solo recruiter that is a complete tool at zero cost.
The meter is on the AI, not on your calendar
Where competitors cap free users on recordings or storage hours, the limit here is ten meetings with AI notes and ten Ask AI queries. You can keep every call and decide per call whether it is worth an AI summary.
Multilingual by default
More than 30 transcription languages on the free plan, with premium and multi-language transcription and custom vocabulary on the Business plan. For a Belgian or Dutch desk running three languages a week, that is the practical test a recorder has to pass.
It plugs into what you already run
The Pro plan lists more than 5,000 integrations plus an MCP server, API and webhooks, which is how a transcript reaches a system that was never designed to receive one.
Main trade-offs
A bot joins the call
Recording happens by adding a participant to the meeting, and the plan list includes custom bot appearance. That is a visible notice, which helps with disclosure, and it is also a presence in a first conversation with a passive candidate.
Nothing here is built for hiring
No scorecards, no competency structure, no interview kit, and no ATS integration named on the plan table. Recruitment-specific recorders exist; this is a meeting product that recruiters use.
The useful AI starts at EUR 18
Ten meetings with AI notes covers a quiet week. Unlimited AI notes, custom note templates and unlimited single-meeting Ask AI start on Pro at EUR 18 per seat per month billed annually.
Team governance is the Business plan
Team management, team-wide integrations and automations start at EUR 29 per seat per month. SCIM provisioning, custom SSO and organisation activity logs are Enterprise, on quote. For candidate recordings, that governance question arrives sooner than the feature list suggests.
Recordings of candidates are personal data
The vendor states GDPR and SOC 2. That is their claim about their processing; the notice, the lawful basis and the retention of a candidate's recorded interview remain yours, and the free plan gives you no admin controls to enforce them.
Pricing and buying reality

What we do not know
- The monthly billing prices, since the page quotes annual rates
- How long recordings are retained on the free plan
- Where recordings and transcripts are stored and processed
- Whether any ATS integration exists among the 5,000+ listed

How it fits your stack
Works with
- Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams
- Calendar and email, on every plan
- More than 5,000 integrations plus MCP, API and webhooks, from the Pro plan
Likely replaces
- Typing notes during a screening call
- Asking a candidate to repeat what they said in the first call
May overlap with
- Fireflies, Otter and Grain, which do the same job at similar prices
- Metaview and BrightHire, which do it inside a hiring process
Check before buying
- Whether ten AI summaries a month is enough, since that is the free limit
- Whether a visible bot in a first candidate call is acceptable to you
- How you tell candidates the call is recorded, and how long you keep it
- Whether you need team-level controls, which start on Business
tl;dv vs alternatives
Products a buyer would genuinely put next to this one, with the reason you would pick each instead.
Choose Metaview when the notes have to serve a hiring decision and you want interview structure rather than a general meeting record.
Consider OLVA when help during the conversation matters more than the record afterwards, or when the conversation is in person.
Compare Fireflies directly: same job, different free-plan limits, so the comparison is about which ceiling you hit first.
