Executive search ATS + CRM
Primary sources checkediSmartRecruitโ Claimed by vendor
ATS and recruiting CRM built around search work: talent mapping, off-limits tracking, confidential assignments and a client portal, sold per user on request.
The short answer
- Best for
- Search firms running several confidential mandates at once
- Not ideal for
- Anyone who needs to compare cost before booking a demo
- Price
- Quote only. The pricing page prints a placeholder instead of a number
- Closest alternative
- LoxoWhen sourcing and outreach are the harder half of the job and you want that engine in the same system

Why these assessments
- Recruitment fitStrong
- Built around search work: talent mapping, off-limits tracking, confidential assignments and a client portal.
- Ease of useUnknown
- We have not used it, and the record we hold reached us from the vendor rather than from independent sources.
- ImplementationUnknown
- On-premise deployment is on the table, which changes the project entirely, and no timeline is published.
- Price transparencyWeak
- The pricing page describes the plans in detail and then prints the price as a placeholder.
- Value for moneyUnknown
- There is no price to weigh the long feature list against, and none of that list has been tested by us.
- ScalabilityFair
- Startup caps candidates and active jobs and Professional lifts both, so the plan limits bite before the price does.

The SourcrLab bottom line
A search-shaped system rather than a staffing system with a search label, which is rarer than the category suggests. What we cannot tell you is what it costs, or how much of the AI agent lineup is doing real work: both are vendor descriptions we have not tested. Worth a demo if search workflow is your bottleneck, with a written quote before you compare it to anything.
Best fit
Retained and executive search firms that need the parts a general agency ATS leaves out: mapped markets kept over years, off-limits rules, confidential searches and a portal the client can be sent into.
Think twice if
Anyone who needs to compare cost before a demo. The pricing page describes the plans in detail and then prints the price as a placeholder, so there is nothing to benchmark against.
SourcrLab assessment
Everything on this page comes from the vendor's own pages, checked on the dates below. SourcrLab has not used this product in real recruitment work, so you will not find a first-hand opinion here.
Why choose iSmartRecruit?
Search work has its own vocabulary here
Talent mapping, executive talent pools, off-limits tracking and confidential search management are named parts of the product. Most agency systems make you improvise those with tags and custom fields.
The client is part of the workflow
A client portal for collaboration and submittal feedback is included in the vendor's description. In retained work the longlist conversation with the client is the deliverable, not an afterthought.
On-premise is on the table
The vendor states both cloud and on-premise deployment. For a firm whose confidentiality obligations rule out shared infrastructure, that alone shortens the shortlist.
Main trade-offs
The pricing page prints a placeholder
Five plans are described across two segments, each with candidate and job limits, and each price reads "$XX per user per month". The structure is public, the number is not, so budgeting means a sales call.
Plan limits bite before the price does
The entry plans cap active jobs and candidate volume: up to 10 active jobs and 10,000 candidates on the agency Startup plan, 5 active jobs on the in-house Starter. Ask which plan the demo is running on.
A long list of AI agents, none of it tested by us
Sourcing, head hunting, company insight, voice and match-insight agents are all vendor-named capabilities. We have not seen any of them work, and neither the accuracy nor the cost of running them is published.
The record reached us from the vendor
The description, feature list and positioning on this page originate with iSmartRecruit, including a suggested verdict we did not use. We checked identity, product scope and pricing status against their own site; the rest is their claim, marked as such below.
Pricing and buying reality
Quote only, no public pricing
- Agency plans: Startup (up to 10,000 candidates, up to 10 active jobs) and Professional (unlimited candidates and jobs)
- In-house plans: Starter (up to 5 active jobs), Growth (up to 15) and Pro (unlimited), all with unlimited users
- Every plan shows its price as "$XX per user per month" on the vendor's own pricing page
- No free plan or trial length is published; the route in is a demo and a custom quote
What we do not know
- Any actual price, in any currency
- Minimum seats and contract term
- What on-premise deployment costs and requires
- Whether the AI agents are included or metered

How it fits your stack
Works with
- LinkedIn Recruiter, through the vendor's sourcing extension
- Email, calendar, Teams and Meet, per the vendor's integration list
- Job boards and assessment tools, per the same list
Likely replaces
- A general agency ATS improvising search workflow with tags
- A separate spreadsheet of mapped markets and off-limits rules
- Ad hoc client updates by email during a search
May overlap with
- Loxo, Recruit CRM, Crelate and Bullhorn, which cover the same core
- Contact data tools, if the AI sourcing agent returns contact details
Check before buying
- A written quote at your seat count, since nothing is published
- Which plan the demo runs on, and which limits apply to it
- How confidential searches are isolated in practice, not in the brochure
- Data export terms before a mapped market lives only in their system
iSmartRecruit vs alternatives
Products a buyer would genuinely put next to this one, with the reason you would pick each instead.
Choose Loxo if sourcing and outreach are the harder half of the job and you want that engine in the same system as the pipeline.
Choose Recruit CRM if you want a published per-seat price today, and you can live with executive search reporting as a feature rather than the design.
Consider Crelate when you would rather shape the workflow yourself than adopt a search methodology built into the product.
Consider Bullhorn if the firm also runs contract or temp desks that need timesheets and pay and bill.
