Why these assessments
Recruitment fitStrong
Built for pre-employment screening: a test library, video questions and credits counted per candidate.
Ease of useUnknown
We have not used it, and we have no independent evidence of how a candidate experiences a stack of tests in one sitting.
ImplementationFair
The free tier is a working product rather than a countdown, but getting results into an ATS means moving to Plus.
Price transparencyFair
Plan prices and the free allowance are published; the price of extra credits is not, and the offer changes by region.
Value for moneyFair
Costs follow candidates rather than seats, which suits uneven volume, but both paid plans require an annual commitment.
ScalabilityFair
Credits are the real limit and they can be topped up, at a price the vendor does not publish.

The SourcrLab bottom line

The free tier is unusually real: ten credits a month, resume scoring and qualifying questions that never cost credits at all. On the paid plans the constraint is the credit allowance rather than the monthly price, and the jump to ATS integration is a large one.

Best fit

Hiring where the CV is a poor filter and you would rather see what a candidate can do, with enough volume that a credit budget is worth managing.

Think twice if

Teams that need assessment results inside their ATS, since integrations and API access start on the Plus plan, and teams hiring a handful of people a year, for whom the free tier or nothing is the honest answer.

Why choose TestGorilla?

A free tier that is not a countdown

EUR 0 a month with ten credits every month, five essential skills tests and one full-access seat. It renews rather than expiring, so a small team can screen continuously without a contract.

Costs follow candidates, not seats

One credit per candidate for a skills test or a video question, two for an AI interview or a job simulation. Adding a colleague to the account does not change the bill.

The top of the funnel is free

Resume scoring, qualifying questions and custom questions cost no credits on any plan, and credits are only charged once a candidate starts the assessment. Candidates who fail the qualifying questions cost nothing.

Main trade-offs

ATS integration starts on Plus

Integrations and API access are Plus features, from EUR 345 a month with an annual commitment starting at EUR 4,140. On Core your assessment results live outside your hiring system.

The credits are the real limit

Core is EUR 66 a month, but the binding number is 250 credits a year: roughly 250 assessed candidates, or 125 if you use AI interviews or job simulations at two credits each.

Both paid plans require an annual commitment

Core is billed as EUR 792 a year and Plus from EUR 4,140. There is no month-to-month option on the paid tiers, so a seasonal hiring peak has to be paid for all year.

Region changes the offer

The European page shows Core at EUR 66 a month for 250 credits a year; the same plan reads USD 142 a month for 400 credits in the United States. Prices and credit allowances quoted by American review sites will not match your invoice.

Pricing and buying reality

Free, then from EUR 66 per month

  • Free: EUR 0 per month, 10 credits monthly, 5 essential tests, 1 seat
  • Core: EUR 66 per month on an annual commitment, EUR 792 billed annually, 250 credits per year, 2 seats
  • Plus: from EUR 345 per month, annual commitment from EUR 4,140, unlimited seats, ATS integrations and API
  • Enterprise: price on request
  • Credits: 1 per candidate for a skills test or video question, 2 for an AI interview or job simulation

What we do not know

  • The cost of extra credits once a plan runs out
  • What Plus costs above its starting point, and what drives that
  • Enterprise pricing and contract terms
  • Validity evidence per test, which the vendor places under scientific validation on Enterprise

How it fits your stack

Works with

  • Your ATS, through integrations and the API, on the Plus plan
  • Your careers flow, by sending assessment invitations to applicants

Likely replaces

  • CV screening as the first filter in the funnel
  • Ad hoc take-home assignments built and scored by hand

May overlap with

  • Technical assessment platforms such as HackerRank and Codility
  • Structured interview scorecards already in your ATS

Check before buying

  • Whether your ATS integration sits behind the Plus plan, since that changes the budget by an order of magnitude
  • Your credit burn: candidates assessed per year times the credits per assessment type
  • What validity and adverse-impact documentation you can get for the specific tests you plan to use
