Why these assessments
Recruitment fitStrong
Built for one segment and shaped by it: assignments rather than requisitions, longlists rather than pipelines, and a client report as the deliverable.
Ease of useUnknown
The Outlook, Word and Chrome add-ins suggest a low-friction way of working, but SourcrLab has not run an assignment through it and will not rate what it has not used.
ImplementationFair
The trial and the add-ins let a consultant start alone within a day. Moving a firm's assignment history and reporting conventions across is the part that takes a quarter.
Price transparencyFair
A rate card is published, which most executive search vendors avoid, but the exact tier prices differ between the vendor page and secondary listings, so the ladder still needs confirming.
Value for moneyUnknown
This depends entirely on whether the profile data is fresh and contactable in the markets you actually search, and that can only be answered inside the trial with your own live assignment.
ScalabilityFair
Per-user pricing scales predictably, and since the vendor states Connect lookups are unlimited rather than a per-user allowance, a research-heavy consultant costs the same seat as a colleague who barely searches. What scales less predictably is the hit rate: contact data comes through a third-party partner, so growth into a new sector or country is a coverage question, not a volume one.

The SourcrLab bottom line

One of the few executive search platforms that publishes a price and lets you try it before signing, which alone puts it ahead of much of its category on buying friction. The product does what retained search actually needs: assignment management, passive research, and client-facing output from the same record. What it cannot prove from a website is data quality in your geography, and that is the only question that decides the purchase. Use the trial for that and nothing else.

Best fit

A search firm or in-house executive recruitment team whose day is mapping a market, building a longlist and keeping a client informed. Talentis models that work directly instead of asking you to bend an applicant pipeline into the shape of an assignment.

Think twice if

The database is the product. A profile count says nothing about whether the people you need in your market are in it, current, and reachable. Spend the seven-day trial running a live assignment you already know the answer to, and count how many of the names you would have found anyway.

SourcrLab assessment

Everything on this page comes from the vendor's own pages, checked on the dates below. SourcrLab has not used this product in real recruitment work, so you will not find a first-hand opinion here.

Why choose Talentis?

It models assignments, not requisitions

Retained search is a research project with a client attached, not a funnel. Talentis keeps the assignment, the longlist, the status of each approach and the client report on one record, which is exactly the work a general ATS makes you improvise around.

Research is inside the product

Search across public profiles is part of the platform rather than a separate sourcing subscription, and the vendor states Talentis Connect carries unlimited email and phone lookups rather than a monthly allowance. For a two-consultant firm that removes a second vendor and a second invoice.

It works where consultants already work

Outlook and Word add-ins plus a Chrome extension mean profiles and correspondence are captured without leaving the tool you were in. Executive search data is lost in exactly those transitions, and this is the practical answer to it.

You can see the price and try it

A published rate card from around USD 125 per user per month, no advertised setup cost, monthly or annual terms, and a seven-day trial after a demo without a credit card. Executive search software is a category where quote-only and annual-only is the norm, so this is a genuine difference.

Main trade-offs

A profile count is not coverage

The vendor cites a figure above 800 million public profiles. Scale of that kind says nothing about how many of them are current, how many are in your sector and country, or how many have a working contact route. Test the markets you sell into, not the ones in the demo.

The published ladder is not entirely settled

Vendor and third-party sources report entry prices between roughly USD 119 and USD 129 depending on which plan is being described. Ask for the current tier list in writing, including what Connect adds, before you build a budget on a number you read in a directory.

Unlimited is a commercial term, not a data guarantee

The vendor states Connect lookups are unlimited, which removes the volume question a research desk usually has to model. What it does not remove is whether a contact route exists at all: the contact data comes through a third-party partner, so the number that matters is the hit rate in your sector and country, not the ceiling. Ask about any fair-use policy and test contactability during the trial.

Wrong shape for contingency and volume work

If most of your revenue comes from filling multiple similar roles quickly, you need job-board multiposting, application handling and throughput reporting. A specialist search CRM is deliberately not optimised for any of that, and forcing it will feel like friction every day.

Pricing and buying reality

From about USD 125 per user per month, with a seven-day trial

  • Talentis: published from about USD 125 per user per month, monthly or annual contract, no advertised setup cost
  • Talentis Connect: published from about USD 129 per user per month, with unlimited email and phone lookups per the vendor, changed from a 100-per-month allowance around July 2026
  • Seven-day free trial after a demo, without a credit card
  • Secondary software directories report a USD 119 entry figure for the flat-rate plan, so confirm the current ladder with the vendor

What we do not know

  • The exact current tier names and prices, given the reported spread
  • Whether any fair-use policy sits behind the unlimited lookups
  • Hit rate and freshness of the third-party contact data in your markets
  • Minimum seat count and any annual-only discount condition

How it fits your stack

Works with

  • Outlook and Word, through add-ins
  • LinkedIn and other public profile sources, through the Chrome extension
  • Client reporting workflows

Likely replaces

  • A generic CRM bent into the shape of a search assignment
  • Spreadsheet longlists and manually assembled client reports
  • A separate sourcing subscription, partly, on the Connect plan

May overlap with

  • Agency ATS and CRM platforms such as Loxo and Crelate
  • Contact-data tools such as ContactOut or RocketReach
  • LinkedIn Recruiter, on passive candidate research

Check before buying

  • Profile coverage, freshness and contactability in your own markets, during the trial
  • The current tier list in writing, and what Connect adds
  • Lookup overage rates and whether allowances pool
  • Migration of historic assignments, candidate records and report templates
