Why these assessments
Recruitment fitStrong
The product is built around a specific recruiting step: structured candidate screening before live interviews, with recruiter review, ATS hand-off and agency workflows.
Ease of useStrong
Independent reviews on both G2 and Capterra consistently praise setup and ease of use, although a minority of G2/Capterra feedback describes UI confusion and occasional upload friction.
ImplementationStrong
A self-serve seven-day trial needs no card, candidates use a browser link rather than a recruiter-scheduled meeting, and the product publishes native ATS, Zapier, Make and webhook routes for fitting into an existing stack.
Price transparencyStrong
Monthly, quarterly and annual options, plan caps, storage duration, add-ons and even the embedded Platform starting price are published. Enterprise remains quote-only, as expected.
Value for moneyFair
USD 39/month on an annual Essentials plan buys the full AI feature set, but value depends heavily on whether one active job and 300 interviews/year fit your hiring pattern; teams that outgrow those caps jump materially in price.
ScalabilityFair
Agency reaches 20 active jobs, 15 users and 12,000 interviews/year and an Enterprise/Platform route exists beyond that, but the standard tiers scale through explicit caps rather than unlimited usage.

The SourcrLab bottom line

Hirevire is easy to understand once the category is kept narrow: it replaces a large share of repetitive first-round screening, not the whole recruitment stack. Its case is stronger than a bare video-interview tool because the response formats go beyond video, AI analysis is included across the paid plans, agency workflows are explicit, and the integration surface is broad enough to hand candidates back to an ATS. Pricing is public and unusually specific. The trade-off is that scale still means moving through hard caps and higher tiers, video retention is finite, and the independent review base is positive but small enough that SourcrLab would still pilot it on a real vacancy before standardising a hiring process around it.

Best fit

Teams with enough applicant volume that repetitive first-round calls are a real bottleneck. Hirevire is strongest when the ATS remains the system of record and Hirevire becomes the structured screening layer in front of it: candidates answer on their own time, reviewers compare the same evidence, and only the stronger applicants move to a live interview.

Think twice if

If you actually need a live-interview suite, a deep ATS/CRM, unlimited retained video, or strict single-region data residency. Hirevire deliberately sits earlier in the funnel, every standard plan has job/user/interview caps, recordings are retained for 90 days by default, and the privacy policy names processors across global, EU, Mumbai and US infrastructure.

Everything on this page comes from the vendor's own pages, checked on the dates below. SourcrLab has not used this product in real recruitment work, so you will not find a first-hand opinion here.

Why choose Hirevire?

The screen is multi-format, not video-only

Hirevire can collect video, audio, text, file uploads and screen recordings. That matters when a single role needs different evidence โ€” a communication answer on video, a written response, a portfolio file or a practical screen recording โ€” without sending the candidate through separate tools.

AI is part of the standard product, not an enterprise add-on

The current pricing page says every paid plan includes AI transcripts in 90+ languages, AI Match & Scorecards, analysis and AI question generation. Auto-disqualification can stop must-have failures before they consume interview quota, which makes the AI layer operational rather than decorative.

Candidates answer without a scheduled first-round call

The workflow is asynchronous by design: send or share the application link, let candidates respond on their own device and review later. Vendor documentation also describes unique invite links and browser-based candidate flows, which removes the scheduling loop that this category exists to solve.

It is designed to sit beside an ATS

Hirevire publishes native integrations for Ashby, Tellent Recruitee and Manatal, plus Zapier, Make, Pabbly, Gmail and webhooks. That is the right architecture for a screening layer: invite and review in the screening product, then keep the recruiting record in the system your team already uses.

The Agency tier is actually agency-shaped

Agency is not merely a larger interview allowance: it includes 20 active jobs, 15 users, 12,000 interviews/year, five organizations with separate branding, filtered candidate sharing for clients, webhooks and Deep Search. Extra organizations are a published USD 29/month add-on.

Main trade-offs

It does not replace the live interview or the ATS

The core job is asynchronous pre-screening. That is a feature if first-round calls are the bottleneck, but a limitation if the buying brief is live interview intelligence, interview scheduling across panels, or a full candidate system of record. Capterra feedback includes at least one user explicitly wishing for a built-in CRM for long-term applicant contact.

The attractive entry price comes with a small operating envelope

Essentials is one active job, one user and 300 interviews/year; Professional is five jobs, five users and 1,200/year; Agency is 20 jobs, 15 users and 12,000/year. Annual billing pools the allowance across the year, but the buyer still needs to model seasonal peaks against those caps before comparing sticker prices.

Video retention is 90 days by default

All current plans list 90-day video storage. An extra 90 days costs USD 9/month and videos are automatically deleted when the storage period ends. Teams with longer audit, dispute or talent-pool retention requirements need a deliberate export/retention policy rather than assuming recordings stay indefinitely.

Data residency is distributed across several regions

The March 2026 privacy policy lists Cloudflare on a global edge network, Bunny.net in Germany, Supabase in Mumbai, plus US and other-region processors. The vendor states GDPR compliance and transfer safeguards including DPF/SCC/IDTA, but a buyer with a contractual single-region requirement should validate the DPA and exact data path before rollout.

The review signal is good, not yet massive

G2 showed 4.7/5 from 29 reviews and Capterra 5.0/5 from 26. Ease and time saving are recurring themes, but G2 also labels some reviews as invite-sourced or incentivized and includes UI/upload criticisms. Treat the scores as useful corroboration, not proof that your own candidate population will complete the flow without friction.

What we do not know

  • The negotiated Enterprise price, included support/SLA and any implementation commitments
  • Whether the exact ATS connector you need is available on your selected plan and what objects/statuses it syncs
  • Whether your legal/data-residency requirements can be satisfied by the vendor's current processor and DPA setup

How it fits your stack

Works with

  • Ashby
  • Tellent Recruitee
  • Manatal
  • Zapier, Make and Pabbly
  • Gmail and webhooks

Likely replaces

  • A large share of repetitive first-round phone or Zoom screens
  • Ad-hoc forms used to collect pre-interview video, audio, text or files

May overlap with

  • One-way video interview platforms
  • ATS screening questionnaires and scorecards
  • Lightweight asynchronous assessment workflows

Check before buying

  • Model active-job, user and interview caps against your busiest hiring period, not your average month
  • Confirm the exact ATS integration and plan requirement for your stack
  • Decide whether 90-day default video retention meets your HR/privacy policy
  • Run a candidate-completion pilot on one real role before making async video a mandatory funnel step
