Multi-format candidate assessment, billed per completed assessment

Primary sources checked

Goodfit

Goodfit puts AI voice interviews, coding tests, psychometrics and skill assessments behind one meter: $5 per completed assessment, no subscription and no seat fee. A lightweight ATS layer comes with it, and the vendor states SOC 2 Type II on its security page.

The short answer

Best for
A team hiring in bursts that wants a voice interview, a coding test and a psychometric on the same platform, and refuses to pay a subscription in the months it hires nobody
Not ideal for
Sustained high-volume funnels, where $5 per completed assessment stops being cheap, and enterprises needing a full ATS rather than a screening pipeline
Price
$5 per completed assessment; 20 free to start

Why these assessments
Recruitment fitStrong
Every format is a hiring format โ€” voice interview, skill test, psychometric, coding test โ€” with screening, scoring and shortlisting around them, plus proctoring and screen recording across formats.
Ease of useUnknown
SourcrLab has not used it. Candidate-side experience is what decides an assessment product, and completion rates on a voice interview are the number that matters โ€” neither is visible from the vendor's pages.
ImplementationStrong
Twenty free assessments on account creation, no subscription to negotiate, and a stated integration posture towards existing ATS and HRIS systems. A pilot needs a decision, not a procurement cycle.
Price transparencyStrong
One number, one unit, no seats and no minimum: $5 buys one completed assessment, and an incomplete one costs nothing. It is the easiest pricing model in this batch to forecast.
Value for moneyUnknown
Not assessed. The price per assessment is unambiguous; whether the assessments themselves discriminate between candidates well enough to be worth $5 is a question about validity that no public evidence answers.
ScalabilityFair
The model scales up smoothly in mechanics and unevenly in cost: linear per-assessment pricing has no volume ceiling, which is exactly why a sustained high-volume funnel should be modelled before committing to it as the standing screen.

The SourcrLab bottom line

The consumption model is the reason to look: one credit, five dollars, one completed assessment, across voice interviews, coding tests, psychometrics and skill tests, with nothing charged for an assessment a candidate abandons. Security documentation is unusually solid for a product at this price point โ€” SOC 2 Type II, TLS 1.2 and above in transit, AES-256 at rest, SAML and OIDC single sign-on, and a stated primary data residency in Mumbai with EU or US available to enterprise on request. The ATS layer is real but light; treat it as pipeline management around assessments rather than as a reason to replace an applicant tracking system.

Best fit

A team whose hiring is lumpy. Assessment suites are normally sold as annual subscriptions or seat licences, which means paying through the quarters you hire nobody; Goodfit charges $5 when a candidate finishes an assessment and nothing when they do not. For an organisation running four hiring bursts a year across several role types, that is a materially different cost shape.

Think twice if

Model it at your real volume before treating it as the standing screen. Linear pricing is generous at fifty assessments a quarter and unremarkable at five thousand, and the point where a subscription suite becomes cheaper arrives sooner than the per-unit price suggests once several formats are in play for one candidate.

SourcrLab assessment

Everything on this page comes from the vendor's own pages, checked on the dates below. SourcrLab has not used this product in real recruitment work, so you will not find a first-hand opinion here.

Why choose Goodfit?

You pay for finished work only

A credit is consumed when a candidate completes an assessment, not when you send one. Every assessment product loses candidates between invitation and completion; here that loss costs nothing, which quietly removes the incentive to under-invite.

Four assessment types on one meter

AI voice interviews, coding tests, psychometrics and skill assessments all cost the same credit. A team that would otherwise buy a coding platform, a psychometric vendor and an interview tool separately can run all three from one balance and one candidate record.

Security documentation ahead of its price point

SOC 2 Type II, TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, AES-256 at rest with managed keys, SAML and OIDC single sign-on and role-based access are all stated on the security page, with primary residency in Mumbai and EU or US available to enterprise. Products charging five dollars a unit do not usually publish this much.

It can sit beside the ATS you keep

The vendor states more than a hundred ATS and HRIS integrations on its ATS and HR pages. Even discounting the count as a vendor claim, the posture is coexistence rather than replacement, which matters because the bundled ATS layer is not why anyone should buy this.

Main trade-offs

Linear pricing has no volume protection

There is no subscription to amortise and no published volume discount. At sustained high volume the per-assessment model works against you, and the comparison against a seat-based suite should be run at your real annual number rather than at the pilot's.

The ATS layer is not an ATS

Unlimited job posts and pipeline stages are useful around assessments and are not the same thing as an applicant tracking system with candidate communication, offer workflow, compliance controls and reporting. Buying it as one would be a mistake the pricing page does not warn against.

Data residency defaults away from Europe

Primary residency is stated as Mumbai on AWS ap-south-1, with EU or US available on enterprise request. For a European buyer processing candidate data that is a live question at the start of procurement rather than a detail at the end, and the enterprise route may carry different commercial terms.

The integration count is a vendor claim

The stated hundred-plus ATS and HRIS integrations were not enumerated anywhere that could be checked, and integration depth varies enormously between a webhook and a two-way sync. Confirm your own ATS by name, and confirm what actually flows in each direction.

Pricing and buying reality

$5 per completed assessment

  • $5 per credit; one credit equals one completed assessment
  • An assessment is any of: AI voice interview, skill test, psychometric test or coding test
  • No subscription, no per-seat fee and no stated minimum
  • A credit is consumed only if the candidate completes the assessment
  • 20 free assessments on account creation

What we do not know

  • Whether volume discounts or enterprise rates exist
  • Whether purchased credits expire
  • Commercial terms attached to EU or US data residency

How it fits your stack

Works with

  • An existing ATS or HRIS, which the vendor positions as the normal case
  • Multilingual hiring, with interviews listed in 14 languages

Likely replaces

  • Separate coding, psychometric and video interview subscriptions
  • A per-seat assessment suite for a team that hires in bursts

May overlap with

  • The screening and shortlisting stage of a lightweight ATS

Check before buying

  • Your annual assessment volume, priced at $5 a completion against a subscription suite
  • Your own ATS by name, and what actually syncs in each direction
  • Whether Mumbai residency is acceptable, or the EU option is needed and on what terms

Goodfit vs alternatives

Products a buyer would genuinely put next to this one, with the reason you would pick each instead.

TestGorilla logo
TestGorilla

Choose TestGorilla when the size and validation of the test library matter more than the meter, and a subscription at predictable volume is acceptable.

Equip logo
Equip

Choose Equip if the hiring is mostly technical and you want assessments built around engineering roles rather than a mixed catalogue.

HireVue logo
HireVue

Consider HireVue when enterprise assessment and interview depth, validation evidence and procurement-grade governance outweigh a simple per-assessment price.
