Why these assessments
- Recruitment fitStrong
- The entire product is a recruitment workflow: role intake, matching, candidate intent, recruiter approval, introduction and optional ATS hand-off.
- Ease of useUnknown
- The vendor documents a self-serve flow and simple role import, but SourcrLab has not used the product and we did not find a meaningful independent recruiter-review base for this specific Recruiter product.
- ImplementationFair
- Account creation and job import are self-serve, but roles go through the platform workflow before going live and ATS integration is a Super Agent feature rather than part of the entry plan.
- Price transparencyStrong
- The public pricing page publishes exact monthly per-role prices, plan features, month-to-month billing and the absence of placement fees; only the higher-volume tailored plan is quote-based.
- Value for moneyUnknown
- The commercial model is easy to calculate, but value depends on introduction volume and quality for a specific role, and those outcomes are not independently evidenced yet.
- ScalabilityFair
- Seats and introductions are unlimited within a role, but each active role carries its own fee and higher-volume economics move to a tailored sales plan.

The SourcrLab bottom line
daily.dev Recruiter is interesting precisely because it is not trying to out-database LinkedIn, SeekOut or hireEZ. A recruiter posts a developer role, the platform matches against its own developer network, the developer sees the opportunity and opts in, and only then does the recruiter get the conversation. That can remove a lot of low-intent outreach work and the commercial model is unusually easy to model: USD 350 per active role for Agent or USD 1,000 for Super Agent, month-to-month, with no placement fee. The trade-off is control. You cannot search the underlying network or create your own outbound list, non-developer hiring is outside the core use case, and the strongest operating claims โ including high response rates and faster hiring โ are still vendor-reported rather than independently proven. SourcrLab would therefore treat it as a new hiring channel to pilot on one real engineering vacancy, not as a replacement for the whole sourcing stack on day one.
Best fit
Teams hiring engineers in markets where the daily.dev network has enough role-specific inventory and where cold LinkedIn outreach is producing too much chasing. The distinctive value is not another database: it is access to developers in a product they already use, with interest qualified before the recruiter starts a conversation.
Think twice if
If you need to search a database yourself, contact candidates immediately, hire broadly outside software engineering, or need ATS/CRM sync at the lowest price tier. daily.dev Recruiter deliberately trades recruiter control and raw volume for continuous matching and double opt-in introductions; integrations are reserved for the USD 1,000-per-role Super Agent plan.
SourcrLab assessment
Everything on this page comes from the vendor's own pages, checked on the dates below. SourcrLab has not used this product in real recruitment work, so you will not find a first-hand opinion here.
Why choose daily.dev Recruiter?
The candidate says yes before the recruiter starts
daily.dev describes the core flow as double opt-in: the developer reviews the role and explicitly opts in before the introduction is made. That changes the job from convincing a cold profile to evaluating an already-interested person.
It reaches developers inside a product built for developers
The hiring product sits on top of the existing daily.dev professional network rather than a separately scraped recruiting database. That is the strategic reason to test it: it opens a different attention channel for engineering talent rather than another interface over the same cold-sourcing motion.
Commercial risk is role-based, not hire-based
Agent is USD 350 and Super Agent USD 1,000 per active role per month, with unlimited recruiter seats, unlimited warm introductions and no placement fee. The vendor also says multiple hires can be made from the same active role without a per-hire charge.
The entry route is genuinely self-serve
The help centre documents account creation without a required sales call, plus role import from a URL or file and AI-assisted extraction of job details. Buyers can create and preview the setup before payment is required for a role to go live.
Super Agent can feed the existing ATS instead of replacing it
daily.dev publishes 50+ ATS integrations, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday. Approved candidates can be pushed into the ATS and status can sync back, which makes the product easier to treat as a top-of-funnel channel rather than a new system of record.
Main trade-offs
You cannot search the network yourself
The product explicitly says it is not a sourcing database. Matching happens continuously and the recruiter reviews the resulting candidate briefs. That is attractive when cold search is the problem, but frustrating when a recruiter wants to run a very specific manual search, widen the pool instantly or contact a named person now.
This is a developer channel, not a general talent network
The proposition is deliberately built around software engineers across major stacks. That focus is a strength for technical hiring and a hard boundary for teams hoping one licence will also cover finance, sales, operations or frontline recruitment.
ATS integration requires a USD 1,000-per-role plan
Agent at USD 350 per role does not include ATS integration. Super Agent at USD 1,000 adds ATS/CRM integrations, candidate insights, the reply-rate booster and priority support. If ATS hand-off is non-negotiable, compare the USD 650 monthly step-up with the manual admin it removes.
The strongest outcome claims are still vendor claims
daily.dev publishes early-cohort response rates of 85โ90% and positions the model as faster than cold outreach. We found independent confirmation that daily.dev Recruiter launched on Product Hunt, but not an independent recruiter-review base that validates those operating outcomes. Pilot the channel on a real role and measure introductions, qualified conversations and hires yourself.
Per-role pricing becomes material with many simultaneous vacancies
Billing stops when a role is paused or closed, which gives teams control, but every active vacancy is billed independently. Five concurrent Super Agent roles therefore have very different economics from a single critical engineering search; higher-volume buyers are directed to a tailored plan with unpublished pricing.
Pricing and buying reality
Agent USD 350 per active role/month; Super Agent USD 1,000 per active role/month
- Agent: USD 350/month per active role with standard matching, passive-talent access, unlimited recruiter seats, unlimited warm introductions and standard support.
- Super Agent: USD 1,000/month per active role with 3ร matching pace, candidate insights, reply-rate booster, ATS/CRM integrations and priority support in addition to the core plan.
- Billing is month-to-month per active role. Paused and closed roles are not billed for the next cycle; there are no placement fees or long-term contracts on the published plans.
- You can create an account, configure jobs and preview the product before paying; payment is required when a role is approved to go live. This is a pre-purchase preview, not a published time-limited free trial.
- Higher-volume requirements move to a tailored plan; public pricing for that plan is not published.
What we do not know
- Tailored-plan pricing and commercial thresholds for higher-volume hiring.
- Expected introduction volume and qualified-conversation rate for your exact stack, geography and seniority mix.

How it fits your stack
Works with
- Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and 50+ ATS platforms on Super Agent
- Existing ATS workflows through candidate push and status sync on supported integrations
- Slack Connect support channel on Super Agent
Likely replaces
- Part of cold developer sourcing and first-contact outreach for roles where daily.dev produces enough relevant opt-ins
May overlap with
- LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, hireEZ and Juicebox at the top of the developer-hiring funnel, but with a matching-and-intent model rather than recruiter-led database search
Check before buying
- Ask the product to show available inventory for the exact location, stack and seniority of the role before activating it.
- Decide whether manual ATS entry is acceptable on Agent or whether ATS sync makes Super Agent the real minimum plan for your team.
- Set a pilot success metric around qualified opt-in conversations and hires, not the vendor's headline response-rate claim.
daily.dev Recruiter vs alternatives
Products a buyer would genuinely put next to this one, with the reason you would pick each instead.
Choose LinkedIn Recruiter when you need broad cross-functional coverage, direct profile search and recruiter-controlled outbound instead of waiting for platform matching and candidate opt-in.
Choose hireEZ when your sourcing team wants to build and control outbound lists across open-web data rather than buy a developer-community introduction channel.
Choose Juicebox when conversational AI search over a broad people dataset is more useful than developer-only warm introductions.
